Osprey 2000

The Osprey 2000 is the newer and larger of the two vessels that operate on the route across Kootenay Lake.
The Osprey 2000 en route to Balfour. The vessel is double-ended, with the No. 1 End facing Kootenay Bay and the No. 2 End facing Balfour.
Though she is a double-ender, one could make the case that it is looks quite awkward aesthetically when the No. 2 End is the acting bow…
The vessel has an open car deck that can accommodate 82 vehicles.
View towards the No. 1 End
Small passenger lounge on the port side on the car deck level.
A small alcove beneath the rescue boat. On particularly busy sailings, additional vehicles can be parked in the space between the stairway and the yellow.
There is a similar alcove on the starboard side.
There is a snack bar on the car deck level on the starboard side.
Another view of the snack bar
One deck above the snack bar, there is another passenger lounge.
Another view of the upper passenger cabin
There is a publicly accessible picklefork forward of the upper passenger cabin.
There is a similar picklefork on the port side of the ferry, though that one is home to the rescue boat and public access is limited to the space forward thereof.
